This policy sets out how the 香港六合彩 collects and uses personal information collected or received by the 香港六合彩 from people with whom it interacts. Those people include:听

The Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 sets out requirements for the collection and use of personal information.
Personal information is defined in the Privacy Act as 鈥渋nformation or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable (a) whether the information or opinion is true or not; and (b) whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not鈥.听
Sensitive information is a subset of personal information. It means information or an opinion about an individual鈥檚 racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious beliefs or affiliations, philosophical beliefs, membership of a professional or trade association, membership of a trade union, sexual orientation or practices, criminal record, as well as health information, genetic information and biometric information about an individual. Information concerning an IMG鈥檚 performance in an examination or workplace based assessment (WBA) program is not considered to be 鈥減ersonal information鈥 within the meaning of the Privacy Act, and accordingly is not subject to the provisions of the Australian Privacy Principles. However, the 香港六合彩 treats such information as generally being confidential, and deals with it broadly in accordance with this policy.听听
The 香港六合彩 collects personal information in a variety of ways associated with the types of personal information collected identified above. These ways include through employment engagement processes; submission of information for roles on committees and accreditation teams, as examiners, simulated patients, and standardised patients; completion of travel requests; participation in 香港六合彩 events; completion of various on-line forms by IMGs as part of the assessment processes; and the making of submissions and complaints to the 香港六合彩 as part of the accreditation processes.
For IMGs specifically, information is collected and uploaded by the IMG through the 香港六合彩 candidate system. Information, including personal information, is uploaded to the 香港六合彩 portal by 香港六合彩 staff and, in the case of IMGs seeking specialist assessment, by specialist colleges听
Many of the forms utilised by the 香港六合彩 as part of the 香港六合彩 portal or for processing IMGs for examinations will contain specific collection consents.听听

e. to process applications from overseas-trained specialists whose primary medical qualifications are not recognised in Australia and who do not hold a recognised specialist qualification, for assessment by the relevant Australian or Australasian specialist medical college for registration as a specialist听
f. selecting committee members, accreditation teams, standardised and simulated patients and examiners听
g. managing committees, accreditation assessments and monitoring, and examinations听
h. payment of fees and charges听

j. engagement of contractors and consultants听
k. meeting the requirements of superannuation and taxation legislation听

n. determining the suitability of persons generally for engagement as standardised or simulated patients, and their suitability to participate in particular clinical examinations听
o. in the case of standardised patients participating in clinical examinations, the 香港六合彩 will receive and collect opinions from candidates for that examination on the health or medical condition of the standardised patients for the purpose of recording the performance of the candidates, and assessing that performance, and for other purposes ancillary to the clinical examination including training, preparing case studies, and calibrating the examination. This may include occasions when the 香港六合彩 is involved in examinations of persons not 香港六合彩 candidates for other health regulation organisations听
p. for training of persons involved in 香港六合彩 activities, including accreditation contributors, examiners, and simulated patients in clinical examinations听
q. for conducting, arranging or participating in analysis and research into accreditation, examinations, examination candidates, medical education, health workforce issues, and website usage听
r. inclusion of images of people in 香港六合彩 publications, including the annual report, and 听
s. other purposes directly or indirectly associated with the carrying out of the 香港六合彩鈥檚 activities. 听
